Interesting tips from Michael Pollan, author and hero of the organic food movement. Found these via MSN.com today:
- Don’t eat anything your grandmother wouldn’t recognize as food.
- Avoid foods containing ingredients you can’t pronounce.
- Don’t eat anything that wouldn’t eventually rot.
- Avoid food products that carry health claims.
- Shop the peripheries of the supermarket; stay out of the middle.
- Better yet, buy food somewhere else: the farmer’s market or CSA.
- Pay more, eat less.
- Eat a wide diversity of species.
- Eat food from animals that eat grass.
- Cook and, if you can, grow some of your own food.
- Eat meals and eat them only at tables.
- Eat deliberately, with other people whenever possible, and always with pleasure.

The healthy, the strong individual, is the one who asks for help when he needs it. Whether he has an abscess on his knee or in his soul.
Nice post about organic food movement
I do also have blog about nutrition, healthy eating, and health food. I have a summary of articles in the news, lists healthy recipes, offers tips and personal feedback on healthy eating, and reports on nutritional research.
