I’ve been meaning to write all week but work has been quite a roller coaster. All the stress makes me want to wrap myself up in a bed of chocolate but I’ve stuck to the detox diet like a good girl… HotCakes Bakes Macaroonswith the exception of eating a pistachio macaroon from HotCakes Bakes today. It was a stupid, emotional day and I succumbed. Other than that, it’s hard to believe that I’ve had zero coffee, chocolate, eggs, bread, dairy or alcohol for SIX FRIGGEN DAYS. Tomorrow is day 7 — the last day but it honestly hasn’t been that bad. I’m never really hungry since I’m eating every two hours (unless I miss one, of course) and dinner is a normal, healthy meal so I don’t go to bed hungry. Unfortunately, the time change and morning meetings made my morning workouts impossible, so I don’t think I’ve experienced the all of the benefits of the detox. Overall, drama aside, I feel pretty darn good inside and, thankfully, the detox and fiber influx hasn’t been too hard on my tummy (with the exception of this morning, which was painful). I would definitely recommend this product to anyone!

P.S. For those who read my previous detox post, thanks to today’s stupid drama, my cleansing program is still intact. Guess that’s a plus.

I have a problem. My favorite guy’s birthday falls on day 6 of my 7-day detox… I feel that I must celebrate with wine and dessert since it’ll be a private party for two. Would it be completely unreasonable to do this detox for the 5 days (I started today), stop for that one day and then finish up the program? Or would it be better to just continue the detox program as usual and just have that one bad meal? I know, this is a little weak but I didn’t want to put off starting the cleansing process… remember, I’m dirty!
